Create your Call-E account with an invite

What this does
Call-E is currently invite-only. If you've received an invite link, these steps take you from that link to a working Call-E account for you and your organization.
Before you start
You need an invite link or code. The link carries the code for you, so you shouldn't need to type it in. A few things to know about your code:
- It works for one organization only. Once it's used to create an organization, it can't create another.
- It's good for 30 days from when it was sent to you. If it's expired, ask whoever invited you for a new one.
- It only works once. If someone else already used it, you'll need your own invite.
Steps
The invite link opens a short form with three steps to fill in: You and your workspace, Your company, and Terms & privacy. A list on the side tracks the whole sign-up, with those three sitting between Welcome and All set — so the first step you fill in shows as "2 of 5". Back and Continue move between steps without losing anything you've typed, and if you leave a field blank, Continue points at it ("Please name your workspace"). On a computer or tablet, you can also click any finished step in that side list to jump back to it.
- You and your workspace. The step asks What should we call your workspace? Enter a Workspace name — the name your organization goes by in Call-E, usually your company name; your team sees it, and you can change it anytime — and Your name. If your invite code wasn't recognized, or you're setting up without a link, an Invite code field also appears; it shows "That code works." once it's valid. Google is the pre-selected way to sign in. Prefer email? Click Sign up with email instead to add a Work email field (a Sign up with Google instead link lets you switch back). Click Continue.
- Your company. The step asks What is the name of your company? — the company that signs the terms and gets the invoices. Fill in Legal company name (written just as it's registered, with LLC, Inc., or Ltd.), Where is the company registered? (pick it from the list), and Is this company owned or controlled, directly or indirectly, by a government or state entity? (Yes or No). No company? Use your own full name, and pick the country where you live. All three answers are required. Click Continue, or Back to return to the previous step.
- Terms & privacy. The step reads A few things to agree to, and says you're agreeing on behalf of the legal company name you just entered. Click Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Data Processing Addendum to expand each one on the page, and scroll it to the end — the links next to them to the public versions on our website don't count toward this. On a phone, each document opens full screen instead of expanding on the page; scroll to the end, then tap Close to return to the list. There's no minimum reading time; reaching the end of each one is what unlocks the checkbox below. Then check the box — "I accept the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy and Data Processing Addendum on behalf of [your legal company name]." — which is the only box on the form. A line just above it links to our Privacy Policy for your information; there's nothing to accept there. Continue stays disabled until that box is checked and every earlier field is filled in, and it reads Creating your account… while it works.
Clicking Continue on the last step does one of two things, depending on which sign-in method you picked on the first step:
- Google: a Google account picker opens — pick the account you want to use, and Call-E signs you in right away, straight into setting up your organization. No email is sent, and whichever Google account you pick becomes the owner account for your organization.
- Email: the page moves on to the next section below.
If your code isn't valid, you'll see "That invite code didn't work. Check the link we sent you." — double-check the link you were sent, or ask whoever invited you for a new one.
The invite email you received also includes a short notice about which policies govern your use of Call-E, with links to our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy. It's just for your information — there's nothing to accept there.
If you signed up with Google, you're done — skip ahead to Setting up your Organization. The rest of this section covers the email path.
After you submit (email)
Call-E shows Setting up [your workspace name] — for example, "Setting up Bayside Motors" — with a line saying it's getting things ready for your email address and that you'll confirm your email next. A short checklist tracks it: Account created, Preparing Bayside Motors, Confirm your email and you're in. The page says this usually takes a few seconds, and there's nothing for you to do.
Your browser then moves on its own to the Call-E sign-in screen, with your email already filled in. Call-E has just emailed you a one-time code (subject "Sign in to Call-E"). There's no separate sign-in link email to wait for — just the one code.
If you mistyped your email address, click the small Wrong email? link, type the right one in New email address, and click Update and resend. The page shows the corrected address, and the code goes there instead. You can do this any time before your first sign-in. If the code screen has already opened, use your browser's Back button to return to the setup page, then click Wrong email? there. After your first sign-in, change your email from your account settings instead.
If setup takes longer than about 45 seconds, the page says "This is taking a bit longer than usual. You can wait, or we can email you instead." with an Email me instead button. That email ("Finish setting up" followed by your organization's name) has a Sign in to Call-E button that opens the same code screen, with your email already filled in.
If you close the tab before signing in, Call-E emails you that same link about 15 minutes later. Reopening your original invite link also brings you straight back to this screen.
Signing in (email)
Enter the one-time code Call-E just emailed you. The code expires after a few minutes — if it's expired, click Resend on the same screen to get a fresh one. Nothing in your inbox? Check spam.
Once you enter a valid code, you're in your new organization, ready to look around.
Setting up your Organization
If you're the Owner of a brand-new Organization, Call-E may walk you through a few quick questions before payment to personalize itself — what your Organization does, your team size, and which of its suggested Call Types to keep. This is currently in preview. See Set up your Organization.
Accepting Call-E's terms for your organization
Before your organization can start using Call-E, your organization's Owner needs to accept Call-E's Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Data Processing Addendum on the organization's behalf. This applies to organizations on Call-E's standard plans — organizations with a signed enterprise contract don't see this step.
- Open and read each document. Click Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Data Processing Addendum to expand each one on the page, then scroll it to the end — the links next to them to the public versions don't count toward this. On a phone, each document opens full screen instead of expanding on the page; scroll to the end, then tap Close to return to the list. The checkbox stays unavailable until you've reached the end of all three.
- Check the box. It confirms your organization accepts these terms and that you're authorized to accept them on its behalf.
- Click I agree. This also records your own acknowledgment of the Acceptable Use Policy, so you won't see the separate acknowledgment screen below.
If the documents change while you have this page open, clicking I agree shows a message that they were updated. Call-E reloads the documents and clears your checkbox — review them again and check the box to continue.
If you're not the Owner, you'll see a note asking you to wait — your organization's Owner needs to finish setup before anyone can use Call-E, and it opens for everyone once they accept.
Acknowledging your organization's Acceptable Use Policy
The first time you sign in — once your organization's Owner has accepted Call-E's terms — you'll see a short screen asking you to acknowledge your organization's Acceptable Use Policy. This is a quick, separate step from the Owner's acceptance above, and every other user sees it.
- Open the Acceptable Use Policy. It expands on the page — scroll it to the end before the checkbox below it becomes available. On a phone, it opens full screen instead; scroll to the end, then tap Close. The link to the public version doesn't count toward this.
- Check the box. It confirms you've read the Acceptable Use Policy that applies to your organization. Checking it doesn't make you personally responsible for your organization's bill or contract.
- Click Agree and enter Call-E.
The Owner who accepted Call-E's terms doesn't see this screen — that acceptance already covered their own acknowledgment.
If your organization has a signed enterprise contract with Call-E, you won't see this step at all.
Adding a payment method
After you sign in for the first time, Call-E asks for a payment method before you can start using it. Demo organizations skip this step and use their assigned plan.
- Choose a plan — select the Basic or Pro card. You can switch later from your billing settings.
- Click Continue to secure checkout. Call-E opens a secure Stripe page where you enter your card.
- Finish on the Stripe page. Call-E brings you back and shows Confirming your payment… for a moment while it checks with our payment provider. As soon as that finishes, your dashboard opens on its own — or, if you set up your Organization first, a short welcome screen appears with an Open your dashboard button (see below).
Your free 14-day trial starts once you add a card, and nothing is charged before day 14.
If confirming takes longer than a moment, Call-E says so and offers a Check again button. Your payment already went through; only our confirmation is running late. Contact us if it doesn't clear.
If you already ran through Set up your Organization, Call-E shows a short welcome screen once checkout finishes — a quick summary of what was created, then Open your dashboard.
If you're not the person who handles billing, you'll see a note asking you to wait — your organization's Owner adds the payment method, and Call-E opens for everyone once they do.
If something goes wrong
- "That invite code didn't work. Check the link we sent you." The code may be mistyped, already used, expired, or no longer active. Ask whoever invited you to send you a fresh link — there's no way to guess or reuse someone else's code.
- "You already have a Call-E account with this email." Your email is already linked to an organization. Use the Sign in link on the sign-up page instead of creating a new account — one email address can only belong to one organization.
- "You left Google sign-in, so nothing was created. Your invite still works." You closed the Google window, or clicked Back before picking an account. You're back on the sign-up form with that notice at the top — click Continue again, or use Sign up with email instead.
- "Please read the documents again." You lost your progress partway through signing up with Google — for example you continued the sign-up in a different tab, or your browser data was cleared. The page says "We couldn't tell if you read the documents. Please start again and read them once more." Nothing was created: click Start again, read through the documents, fill in the fields again, and try Continue again.
- "That Google email isn't verified." Google hasn't confirmed the address on that account, so Call-E can't use it. Click Back to sign up and use Sign up with email instead.
- "That Google account already has a Call-E workspace." Click Sign in to use that account. To use a different Google account, or your email instead, open your invite link again.
- "We couldn't finish setting up your workspace. Nothing was lost. Try again, or go back to sign up." Something interrupted account creation after you signed in with Google — a network hiccup or a temporary issue on our end. Click Try again to retry, or Back to sign up to start over.
- "Too many attempts. Please try again in 1 minute." You submitted the sign-up form several times in under a minute — this is a routine safety limit, not a problem with your account or invite. The wait can be longer than a minute if you keep trying; wait the time shown, then submit again.
- Still stuck? Reach out to whoever sent you the invite, or contact us and we'll help sort it out.
