Reviewing GoHighLevel conversation history in Call-E

Last updated: June 17, 2026

What this does

When your organization is connected to GoHighLevel, Call-E shows a CRM conversation panel with an AI-generated summary of your prior messages with each client — texts, emails, and DMs from GoHighLevel — right inside Call-E. You can read the summary and, if you need more detail, expand the full message thread without leaving the page.

This feature is rolling out gradually. If you don't see the CRM conversation panel yet, it hasn't been enabled for your organization.

Where the panel appears

The CRM conversation panel shows up in four places:

  • Client detail page — between the Upcoming section and the Timeline.
  • Prep call page — left column, above Call Guidance, before your appointment starts.
  • In-progress call page — left column, above Call Guidance, while your call is running.
  • Zoom overlay (Call Mode) — center column, below the Zoom video.

How to read the summary

Open any of the pages listed above. The CRM conversation panel shows:

  • The date of the most recent summary and how many imported messages are included.
  • The full AI-generated summary of your conversation history with that client.
  • A GoHighLevel link, when available, so you can open the source conversation in GoHighLevel.

No extra clicks needed — the summary is shown in full by default.

How to see the individual messages

  1. Click Show chat details at the bottom of the CRM conversation panel.
  2. The full message thread expands inline, grouped by date. Your outbound messages appear on the right; the client's inbound messages appear on the left.
  3. To find a specific message, type a word or phrase into the Search messages… box at the top of the thread.
  4. Click Hide chat details to collapse the thread when you're done.

If the panel doesn't appear

  • GoHighLevel setup needs attention — the panel only shows when your organization is connected to GoHighLevel and Call-E has imported CRM data for that client. Open Settings > CRM to check the GoHighLevel setup status, connection, calendar, and client matching.
  • Client is not matched — open Settings > CRM and check Client Matching. Use Match All or retry matching for the individual client.
  • No messages imported yet — if the client has never had a GoHighLevel conversation, there's nothing to show. The panel won't appear for that client.
  • Not yet enabled — this feature is rolling out gradually. If you don't see it, reach out to support and we can check the status for your account.
