Reconnect Zoom after Call-E emails you

Last updated: September 30, 2026

What this does

If Call-E loses its connection to your Zoom account unexpectedly — for example when Zoom access expires or the Call-E app is disconnected in Zoom — Call-E may email you reminders to reconnect. Reconnecting restores meeting sync and Call Notes from your Zoom meetings.

Call-E does not send these reminder emails when you click Disconnect yourself in Preferences.

To stop future unexpected-disconnection reminders, open Choose your notification preferences and turn off Email for Zoom. Turning it back on does not send reminders that were skipped while it was off.

Before you start

  • You need the Zoom account you want Call-E to use again.
  • Open the email on a device where you can sign in to Call-E.

Steps

  1. Open the email. Look for a message from Call-E about reconnecting Zoom.
  2. Click Reconnect Zoom. That link opens Call-E Preferences and scrolls to the Zoom card.
  3. Sign in to Call-E if you are not already signed in.
  4. Click Connect Zoom (or Reconnect) on the Zoom card.
  5. Sign in to Zoom and click Allow for the permissions Call-E requests.
  6. Confirm it worked. The Zoom card shows your connected account again.

You can also skip the email and go straight to Preferences → Zoom in Call-E.

After you reconnect

Call-E resumes syncing upcoming Zoom meetings. Call Notes from new Zoom meetings can generate again once recording and processing complete as usual.

Reminder emails for that disconnection stop after you reconnect. If Zoom disconnects again later, Call-E may start a new reminder series.

If something goes wrong

  • The email link does not open Preferences or reach the Zoom card. Open Call-E, go to Preferences, and find the Zoom card manually.
  • You see that the Zoom account is already connected to another Call-E user. Sign out of Zoom in your browser, sign back in with the account you want, and reconnect. See Connect Zoom to Call-E.
  • You disconnected on purpose and still got an email. That should not happen for Preferences → Disconnect. Contact support with the email time so we can investigate.
  • You already reconnected but reminders continue. Confirm the Zoom card shows connected with a green status. If it still shows expired, click Reconnect again.
