What this does

Quick Start is a panel that lists what to do to get the most out of Call-E — starting with your first Call Notes, then a few things worth exploring when you're ready. It opens by itself only the first time you visit your dashboard. After that, open it anytime from the Quick Start button in the header on any page, or from the top bar on a phone. Your progress shows as "3 of 9" at the top of the panel, and each group shows its own count.

Get your first Call Notes

The panel starts with Get your first Call Notes, because one real conversation is all Call-E needs to start working for you.

  • Click Quick Recording to record a conversation right from the panel.
  • Record a conversation is done once one of your own recordings has ended. A teammate's call that you can see as an Owner, Admin, or Manager doesn't count.
  • Open your Call Notes waits ("Call-E writes your notes here once a recording stops.") until one of your recordings has ended, then shows a button to open them.
  • If a recording was too short, or the notes couldn't be written, the button becomes Quick Recording so you can record again.

See What are Call Notes? for more on what Call Notes contain.

Explore Call-E

Once you have your first Call Notes, the panel shows more things worth trying, grouped under headings like Prepare with Call Guidance, Understand your Call Scorecard, Connect Zoom, and Coach your team. Each one has a short reason, a button that takes you straight there, and a Learn more link to its help article. Connect Zoom is a single row. Exactly which of these you see depends on your role — for example, only some roles can invite teammates. Add someone from your team is done once you have sent an invite yourself — people already on your team, or invited by someone else, don't count.

Skip something, or bring it back

Not everything on the list applies to you right now. Click Skip on any single item — skipped items still count toward your progress, so they don't hold you back from finishing the list.

Headings with more than one item also show Skip this, letting you skip everything under it at once. That button disappears once everything under the heading is already done or skipped, since there's nothing left to skip.

Changed your mind? Click Unskip next to a skipped item to bring it back.

Finished something by accident? For the items you finish by opening something — your Call Notes, Call Guidance, Call Scorecard, or your team's conversations — click Mark not done. Opening it again marks it done once more. Items Call-E checks for you, such as Record a conversation or Bring in your Zoom calls, can't be unchecked.

When you finish the list

When you finish or skip the last item, the panel shows You're all set once. After you close it, the Quick Start button shrinks to a quiet button that stays in the header. Click it anytime to reopen the panel with your finished list.

Hide Quick Start

Click Hide Quick Start at the bottom of the panel and confirm. Quick Start then never shows again for you.

Closing the panel

Closing the panel doesn't lose your progress — reopen it anytime from the Quick Start button.
